The city's
The little town of Glorenza, stands along the river Adige, away from the highway for Resia, and is unique in its kind.
Still today, great and well-preserved walls surround the city.
Three high towers by the doors and a series of defensive towers along the walls, show how it used to be a fortified town.
The walk where the patrol used to do its rounds, is partially practicable today and from here people can enjoy the picturesque scene of the roofs.
The three towers with the doors have been built by the main streets: toward Malles and Resia stands the Malles door toward Merano stands the Sluderno Door and toward the Pass of Forno, in Switzerland, stands the Tubre Door.
Other interesting things to look at in the city of Glorenza, built outside the walls, are the public prisons and the Tribunal at the Church of our Mistress.
(Chiesa di Nostra Signora).
